How do Collagen Stimulating Fillers work?

Collagen Stimulating Filler is a unique product composed of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in an aqueous gel carrier. Once injected it provides immediate volume & correction, then continues to have a secondary affect approximately 6 weeks later by stimulating the build-up of the body’s natural collagen production for up to 18months.  Overtime, the gel is absorbed and the body metabolises the CaHA microspheres, leaving this new collagen behind.

.Collagen and elastin both contribute to the skin’s strength and elasticity. Unfortunately, ageing and environmental factors (think sun damage) make it harder for your body to produce these components. Reduced amounts of collagen and elastin can cause facial skin to wrinkle and sag, stealing from your youthful appearance.

The unique formulation of this product enable it to be used diluted to improve skin quality in the mid face and neck. Used this way the CaHA particles then form a “scaffold” that stimulates production of collagen. A firm network of collagen fibres strengthens the skin by providing structural support for the skin.  After approximately 6 weeks’ improvement can be seen although to see optimum results a course of treatments is recommended, the final result of which can be seen within approximately 6-10 months’ post treatment.
